SETE, Greek Tourism Confederation, Enters Data Partnership with ReviewPro

Greece’s leading hospitality association to leverage the Global Review Index™, ReviewPro’s award-winning online reputation score, to measure online guest satisfaction of the country’s hotels & destinations.

Barcelona, July 17th 2014 – SETE Tourism Confederation, Greece’s largest and most important hospitality association, has signed a strategic partnership with ReviewPro, the leading provider of online reputation and social media analytics for the hotel industry.

Under this agreement, SETE will leverage ReviewPro’s award-winning online reputation analytics to gain insight into guest satisfaction by region and destination for their Marketing Greece initiative. SETE boasts almost 50,000 members, many of which are hotels and tourism organizations. The partnership with ReviewPro will enable SETE to produce more focused marketing campaigns for separate geographical areas, effectively boosting tourism in the country. With over 17 million arrivals in Greece in 2013 and an anticipated 20 million arrivals in 2014, tourism forms a key part of the national economy.

ReviewPro’s reputation management for hotels analytics provide critical insight into overall guest satisfaction levels for all SETE member hotels as well as strengths and weaknesses across a variety of departments. The company aggregates millions of reviews from more than 100 of the most relevant online travel agencies, review websites and social media platforms for clients in over 90 countries. The backbone of these analytics is the Global Review Index™ (GRI), the industry standard benchmark for online guest satisfaction, which will assist SETE in measuring individual performance of hotels as well as performance by region and destination.

Dr. Aris Ikkos, Research Director at SETE, says, “Today’s consumers are highly influenced by online hotel reviews and other user-generated content. We will leverage ReviewPro’s analytics to determine the online reputation and unique requirements for different regions across Greece. At SETE, we’ve seen a steep increase in client requests for tools to monitor and respond to online guest feedback. We’re committed to providing the most reliable, best products for our members and we feel that ReviewPro will support us to fulfill our goals.”

RJ Friedlander, CEO of ReviewPro, says, “We are delighted that SETE choose to partner with ReviewPro. Over the last year, we have emerged as the preferred ORM data provider to leading associations and technology companies around the world. The agreement with SETE provides further proof that when it comes to data coverage and quality, ReviewPro is the provider of choice. The hotel industry needs a common measure of online guest satisfaction and the GRI is that score. Additionally, sentiment analysis of online reviews will pinpoint specific strengths and weaknesses that will enable SETE to better customize campaigns and tourism initiatives for visitors to the country.”
