“Guest satisfaction management, the combination of online reputation management for hotels and direct service, is a key area of focus hospitality professionals,” he says.

“GMs must act on social insights and direct feedback because reviews have an impact on guest satisfaction, your hotel’s Global Review Index™ score and ultimately, revenue.”

A Cornell study has shown that a 1-point increase in a hotel’s Global Review Index™ leads up to a 0.89% increase in price (ADR), a 0.54% increase in occupancy, and a 1.42% increase in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR). A staggering 89% of people also say that reviews influence their purchasing decision.
