The Top 10 best-reviewed hotels list for Bulgaria’s capital city of Sofia contains an interesting mix of local, independent properties and those that fly the flag of multi-national chains such as Hilton and Best Western.
The No. 1 title, however, goes to the small independent property called Sofia Residence Boutique Hotel (formerly Residence Oborishte), according to a new analysis by ReviewPro. To compile its latest city rankings report, ReviewPro analyzed feedback contained in 9,563 hotel guest reviews for 78 hotels.
In Sofia, all 78 hotels have an average GRI score of 81.1% – but the scores vary by hotel and by category. Highlights from ReviewPro’s analysis include:
- The No. 1-ranked hotel has a GRI score of 91.6%
- Ranking the hotels by “service,” ReviewPro found that the Hilton Sofia Hotel took top honors with a GRI score of 93.2%
- When ranked by “value,” the Hilton ranked 10th while Maxi Park Hotel ranked No. 1 with a score of 94.5%
- When ranked by “room,” the Grand Hotel Sofia topped the list with a GRI score of 94.7%
ReviewPro aggregates guest mentions from around the Internet, including over 100 million guest reviews from the major online travel agencies and review sites. It uses a proprietary algorithm to compile a Global Review Index score (GRI), which lets hotels track their performance and compare themselves against rivals. The Top 10 hotels cited below were ranked based on their individual GRI scores.
